Helly Swenson Duncan, Principal, Allied ASID, ASP

Helly graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor in Science Degree in Apparel Merchandising, and she has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design from Arapahoe Community College. She has served as the Director of the Denver City Center and as Vice President of Membership for the International Interior Design Association/Rocky Mtn. Chapter. Helly has also been a guest instructor at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design on multiple occasions. Currently, Helly serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisville Chamber, and serves at her church.

The roots of Helly's design background are at the Denver Design District learning the vendor side of the interior design industry, a degree in interior design, and working for a model home design firm before launching her own business in 1997. During the past 20 years of business, her work has included residential projects that range from color consults to project management for clients relocating from other parts of the country. Her work also includes commercial design that has included school, sorority, and restaurant design.

Outside of being an interior designer, Helly lives a very active lifestyle. Helly loves spending time traveling with her family and friends, cooking, and wistfully wishing that she could still run marathons.
